Dorota (Doris) Zbrzezna-statement

Doris's work takes inspiration from personal experiences. Art is what she uses to communicate with the world, express feelings and show her unique perspective. Human interactions and their impact on society is as well a strongly influencing factor. She believes that storytelling and fictional narratives can positively impact our lives and drive change.

Stop motion is her favourite form of animation - the technique enables exploration of various materials and textures. She believes that a story dictates what materials and style of animation should be used hence pays extra attention while choosing them.

Trespass Trailer

The girl runs away from the real world to her safe space, but even there she can't escape the recurring flashbacks of the trauma she experienced.

Trespass is dedicated to the artist's younger self, all sexual abuse survivors, and anyone who is open to understanding the internal struggles that follow such abuse.
