Activist Celine Semaan's definition of sustainability as the meeting place of social and environmental justice provides the starting point for this 'In Conversation' event, where Roberta Schreyer speaks on a utopic vision for the future built on hope instead of fear, along wıth Bethany Voak who's problem solving approach provides significant innovations in sustainable materials, and Suzanna James practice of 'delicate activism' which works in response to her background in producing textiles. With an ever present deafening chatter on sustainability, Roberta calls us to consider what makes us hopeful we look ahead to the next 50 years of textiles practice.
