Carolina Haraki is a Cypriot multidisciplinary artist currently studying Printed Textiles MA at the Royal College of Art. She specialises in public, site-specific and community-centred artwork that interweaves craft skill with contemporary narratives.
Driven by her desire to explore visual storytelling and her enthusiasm for the power of colour, she studied Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art where she graduated with a first class honours degree.
Carolina’s work has been exhibited in Cyprus, London and Hong Kong and most recently in Edinburgh, where she was commissioned by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland to paint the first giraffe for the launch of ‘Giraffe About Town,' a large-scale, public art trail.
Other selected professional experiences include working for Alexander McQueen as a Special Projects Freelancer, and for Muse Productions as a Storyboard Artist. She most recently collaborated with AGAPI, a migrant centre in Cyprus for her final project titled 'Uprooted.'
Through her experiences she has developed a unique artistic handwriting which is grounded by a reflective and well researched practise.
