Katarina Caserman-statement

It only takes one drop to cut into the tension before the storm. Can you taste it? A whisper, foreboding, and love are creeping under our skins. The outcome? Attack of ataxia. We buzzzzzzz so we don’t hear the chaotic buzzing. The outcome? a + b = c. Eenie meenie miney mo I’m the one who has to go. It is a satire, a game of inventing shapes. Within the void things take place but its shape is mutating. The outcome? Exit, exi, ex, ent, ente, e.

Within the void things take place. We cannot see our thoughts, memories, or time in the form we perceive everything that holds a different nature of its appearance. The nature of these invisible things is to hide their form and to escape our sight. Their particles, structure, and their matter remain unknown. I aim to give these unseeable things their material, skeleton, colour, shape, and movement. The central question here could be: how to grasp the sound of hours passing by in a form of an image? Or in other words: how to materialise a nonmaterial matter?

Things that are present but not seen have this status of non-existence. We know they exist and we are experiencing them in our day to day life but we cannot put them in a form of an image because that’s their inherent impossibility. These things are repeatedly resisting representation. They are hyper-present which means that it is technically impossible to grasp them, but nevertheless they are somewhere out there.
