Yinuo Shao

Yinuo Shao is an animator, and illustration artist, currently based in London.

She graduated with a BA in Illustration & Animation from Kingston University of Art. After her undergraduate degree, she decided to go to the Royal College of Art to continue exploring her animation journey. At the same time, illustration has also become an indispensable part of her creation life.

Yinuo's creations are inspired by nature, human beings, the universe and herself. At the same time, her works are shaped through the two-way description of drawing and writing. Yinuo cares about how the story is told because of the experience of her illustration projects. The narration of her works is between narrative and experimental.

Observing, thinking and the desire to create give her the opportunity to be an expresser, and she hopes that through her works, you will be willing to stop and listen and feel the resonance.

As a recent graduate from the Royal College of Art, Yinuo is excited to collaborate and work with other creatives, studios and institutions.

This animated surreal film is about the process from knowing yourself to accepting yourself, it's a long journey, it's a loop.

This story begins with the little house built in our inner world.

In this world, we meet different selves with completely different characteristics. negative, positive, complex, simple......

How to master this emotional scale？ We are questioners and answerers.

As the audience for this film, we will be spectators.

As for ourselves, we will be the character in this film.

The story is inspired by Counselling for Toads: A Psychological Adventure, Robert de Board

"It could break the chain of cause and effect, which might well extend back to childhood, and provide the freedom to be who you really are, with the true self emerging unshackled from the past. He decided that he would like to be a bit more authentic in his life and the way he lived it."

One space, one person, how should we get along with ourselves when we are alone. Loneliness is the norm. We are lonely, but we are not alone, because everyone will experience face-to-face moments with themselves. So how should we face ourselves at this time, can we understand ourselves better? How can we live peacefully with ourselves, can we notice the beauty in life that is usually ignored by us?

An association from a space/room/container... Starting a journey to connect with myself.
