Emre Kayganaci

Emre is an innovator, interested in the intersection of design and technology to solve big problems. He has a multidisciplinary skill set, solving problems across industries, such as renewable energy, toy design, manufacturing & recycling, and sports innovation. His background is in Product & Industrial Design, with a bachelor's degree from Central Saint Martins, UAL.

Alongside his studies, Emre has been awarded prestigious design awards like the iF Design Award, Core77 Design Award, multiple A Design Awards and International Design Award. He is the founder of Tension Labs, an inclusive sports performance brand and co-founder of inaya, a celebration brand.

Metasecure is a haptic fallback security technology for creating safer VR experiences in spatially restricted environments

In VR cyberspace, where most of the environmental safety & security measures are easy to breach with the likes of Chaperone & Human-Joystick Attack, Metasecure proposes an innovative safety solution to keep both the user and their environments safe.

It utilises on-device sensor fusion and machine learning algorithms to detect and predict dangerous close-proximity movements, and alert the user through haptic feedback.

This is the first step in building an intelligent spatial security system for VR, taking into account scenarios that have not yet happened, but have the potential to do so in the near future.
