Inspired by the connection between people with the world and themselves, I am experimenting with dimensional coding behind images.
With limitless methods, I try to help people transform themselves.
I made a space to invite the audience to be conscious of stillness in movement, and ask what reality is. I made this space to blur the layers — the definition and boundaries of objects that ‘should be in a home, gallery or supermarket, remove the purpose of human society — each object has possibilities. And contain the four elements of rituals in spirituality, wind, fire, water, and earth.

I designed this gift cards for audiences take away and communicate. On the front is the dialogue I chose from different people’s quotes in different periods of history; to be more objective while including my own interests.
The reverse is influenced by the shape of sea waves, which resonates with the projector image. And the waves are a metaphor for the dynamic of human society – when individuals were inside of the waves, they were involved in the era – we should realise that we may be blocked in our minds as the empty gap between waves.
The sound of wind chimes.
A projected looping animation talks about transmigration, inspired by Uranus’ moving path, which is slanted. The planet in astrology represents the break, limitation, awake, and the sign of Aquarius, the age we live now, it computes earth remotely.

Sea video from a projector as a piece of commodity I brought online from Pond5. The image is generic, with an unknown name, and can be anywhere in the world; the sea’s name is unnecessary here. I want my audience to focus more on the object itself and themselves, getting rid of the definition.

Inspired by the book Imagined Communities, Human civilisation is based on and formed from the void. We’ve built the mental wall to stop the masses of people from dropping into the abyss, but this siege goes far beyond our acknowledge. We have been creating a stone we can not hold. Or in the other world, we were backlashed by the concept of symbols.
If images come from human society, I want to create a space that is opposite to our current visual explosion, through a place to reflect. Besides the images we see in our knowledge system (which may be firmed by education, personal experience, etc...), there are possibilities for the path beyond the world we are acknowledged, which can be the way to freedom and achieving the right of each individual.
Wind chimes’ healing high vibration sound helps release negative energy and resonates with the sea. It is the only sound in this work, inviting the audience to shift the energy of a space. Resonating with the projection guide — everyone can make a difference toward their environment.

The sound of history (time-space) goes up and down in volume when the audience plays it.

In collaboration and response to the archive at Tate Britain, "Seeing" builds an immersive interactive environment of reflection, using: technology, sound recordings of air in the Tate Britain archive; with a meditation bowl and audience movement, white noise, visual design and the flow of time. To help the audience connect realities behind artworks.
