My name is Aadya, I am an Indian Service and Industrial Designer based in London. As a Designer, I am passionate about creating services, experiences, and products that make a difference, make the people and the planet happy. My approach to design revolves around bringing about meaningful change through design research, while I do like to design for the user and their experiences, I think it is also immensely important to keep in mind as a designer, the society and the environment, and our repercussions on them.
My fascination with materials, methods, and mediums plays an important role in my projects. I am really interested in creating new and innovative relationships, along with better, inclusive, and resilient futures. As a designer in the making, I want to explore and broaden my horizons by learning about various unconventional design processes and developing my own unique practice.
Prior to my postgraduate studies, I graduated from The Savannah College of Art and Design with my BFA in Industrial Design. My thesis project revolved around the accessibility of healthcare facilities where proper sterilization methods and equipment are used, for which I received the Spark Design Award in 2020.
My journey at RCA has been quite fascinating, I worked with clients such as Replenish Earth, The Kerb Garden, The Islington Council and adidas. And worked on a range of captivating projects from the future of local farming, empowering the younger generation to take part in climate action, creating better council and community relations, and reimagining a circular future for adidas.
