Fumito Kawai-statement

Maybe, I am wrong. That’s why I need your voice.

Maybe, I have a bias. That’s why I need to talk with you.

Maybe, you are wrong. That’s why my voice is here for you.

Maybe, you have a bias. That’s why I can talk with you.

Maybe, ‘we’ are wrong. That’s why ‘we’ need more voices.

Maybe, ‘we’ have a bias. That’s why ‘we’ need to talk with more people.

Who knows?

Nobody knows.

Let’s co-create our future.

1. MicroGallery, media item 1
1. MicroGallery, media item 2

◇ Solution

MicroGallery is a matching service between fine artworks and small public spaces. This micro-gallery enables the general public to enjoy the benefit of art as well as making circular art from artists’ studios to a variety of public spaces.

◇ Issue

Art has the value to bring well-being and make sense of the expression of life. However, the general public has lost the value of art since art was pushed into the galleries and museums, which are far from citizens’ rituals. From our initial research, the general public feel art is not relevant to them, art is for the privileged class and needs a wealth of knowledge to understand, which leads to a vicious circle of deepening boundaries between art and citizens.

 2. Adidas INFINITY, media item 1
 2. Adidas INFINITY, media item 2

◇ Solution

Adidas INFINITY is a wardrobe visualization service that directly supports each consumer's manageable fashion consumption and brings digital fashion satisfaction through gamification

◇ Issue

Overproduction and overconsumption are critical issues in the fashion industry. If consumers continued overconsumption, major fashion brands would not stop their overproduction in this capitalism. Consumers still do not have discipline in how much they need to buy/ how much they already have. These situations would worsen environmental issues, then easily offset the efforts of recycling, reusing, and repurposing

4. RELY, media item 1
4. RELY, media item 2

◇ Solution

RELY is the online platform that enables employers and freelance workers to trust with each other based on the mutual evaluation system. This platform provides simple but well-considered matching service for users, then kindly traces the progress of an outsourced job to complete it on time.

◇ Issue

The pandemic has accelerated the shift to a gig economy for many white color workers. However, the current online platform for the gig economy is not fully enough to secure each right such as payment, deadline, and quality of outcomes. How might we make a new social contract for the gig economy?

5. FUBER, media item 1
5. FUBER, media item 2

◇ Solution

The FUBER experience influences riders to keep AVs clean while making the ride enjoyable. This solution achieves not only less cleaning cost & effort but provides new revenue opportunities as well as preserving natural resources and developing a caring society in the future.

◇ Future

Ride-hailing autonomous fleets – or robotaxis – will need to be charged, cleaned and maintained regularly. How can we enhance the passenger experience, keep vehicles clean, and have low maintenance costs for fleet operators, while maximizing time on the road?
